OUR STORY

Good hardwood shouldn't go to waste.

Oak Hill Firewood grew from tree work, an honor-system roadside stand and one rule we weren't willing to compromise: don't sell firewood before it's properly seasoned.

HOW IT STARTED

From tree work to firewood.

Tree work produces a lot of good hardwood. Watching usable oak and hickory become waste made us wonder whether there was a better use for it.

We started small with an honor-system stand in front of the house. The stand became popular enough that delivery was the obvious next step—but we waited. Building a real inventory of properly seasoned firewood takes time, and we weren't going to rush it by selling green wood.

Today we're in our fourth season selling firewood and our second season offering delivery.

WHERE THE WOOD STARTS

We know trees because we work with trees.

Our firewood story starts before the splitter. The photos here aren't stock images—they're the work behind the wood.

WHAT MATTERS TO US

Simple promises.

Season it properly

Our firewood is dried to under 20% moisture before we sell it.

Make delivery useful

When safe access allows, we bring the wood closer to where you'll store it—not merely to the edge of the driveway.

Keep ordering simple

QUALITY CONTROL

Management keeps a close eye on things.

Oak Hill is a small local operation. Sometimes the quality-control department rides along and supervises from the dashboard.
